A few weeks ago I found some fabric at Goodwill. It was two jelly rolls, some coordinating fat quarters, and a yard of coordinating Moda fabric. I used some of it to make a Jelly Roll Twist. I started the top yesterday and finished it (the top) today.

I can not take a blanket picture without Ruby

Booker and Chance do not approve of the colors/patterns and Chancey says it does not coordinate and looks like scraps from an old person’s curtains and pajamas. That’s kind of exactly my style though so I guess this will be for me, whenever I get a back and quilt it (which will probably be awhile).

I’m going to try to remember to post sewing FOs so that I can keep track of everything I finish but I will probably forget.

My goal this year was to get a bigger embroidery machine (to expand what I can make), but I had to make enough business-wise to justify it as I couldn’t really justify it for personal use… I did it in the first quarter.

My next goal is to convert my garage into an additional work space so I can have the room for a plotter (to print larger patterns) and have the ventilation to do sublimation and spray painting (to custom dye fabric). This was going to be my goal for next year but I might start doing it this year…

I am so thankful that I am able to do these things.

Anyway my point in bringing that up is that I can now do bigger embroidery, such as the embroidery for the Clodsire pattern by makeshiftwings

Also (unrelated to the bigger embroidery machine) I made this shocked Pikachu using pattern from CholyKnight

Then I dusted off some older patterns… like this one that I bought from TeacupLion in 2015

And I kind of came to the realization that I had big sewing hopes in 2013 – 15… I got lots of patterns and some fabric and 2013 was when I got my first embroidery machine… but then I didn’t really have the room and the time and tools to actually do a lot of what I wanted to do… so again I am thankful I am able to do it now… (and with how my life has turned out in general. I am honestly living my dream life).
