ME: I have like 20 and I already have to use TightVNC for most of them since y’all promised me a license with each Raspberry Pi purchased a few of years ago and then limited me to 5 devices total.
REALVNC: Well we have plans for home users up to 25 devices, “from” $3.35 per month!
ME: Okay that’s reasonable… wait FROM 3.35 per month, what’s the catch, you have to pay for a whole year at once?
REALVNC: Yes. But also it’s $3.35 per device. And that’s only for up to 3 devices. The plan for up to 25 devices is actually $4.19 per month.
ME: So you want me, an individual home user (because using it for business costs more), to pay $1005.60 plus tax per year. While TightVNC is free, doesn’t have any device limits, and if I use TightVNC as the server I can use RealVNC as the viewer without an account.
REALVNC: Yes. But if you act now we’ll give you a 20% discount on your first year!
